Sherrod Brown Joins Delaware County Democratic Party Monthly Meeting
We had a special guest at the November meeting of the Delaware County Democratic Party! Sherrod Brown joined us to share a clear message: it is time to believe again, mobilize again, and go to the polls. Delaware County Democrats showed up in force, filling the room with energy and enthusiasm.
Brown reminded us that the stakes could not be higher in the November 2026 election. He will face off against Jon Husted, the Republican appointee who is finishing the term left vacant by J.D. Vance’s departure.
During the conversation, Brown spoke about the issues that matter most to Ohioans: increasing affordability, standing up for working people, and taking on the billionaires and special interests who hold too much sway over our politics and the current administration.
It was an inspiring evening, and we look forward to supporting his fight for Ohio’s future.
Why Delaware County Matters
Delaware County, Ohio, has long been reliably Republican, but recent trends show it is inching toward competitiveness. Its educated workforce and suburban growth make it a microcosm of changing Ohio politics.
For the local party and volunteers in Delaware County, Brown’s visit was about more than a photo op. It was a rallying cry: to show up, to organize, to bring energy, and to ensure that when the polls open, the machinery of democracy is humming.
Brown’s words serve as a reminder that democracy requires constant fuel: participation, encouragement, and outreach. Especially in counties experiencing change like Delaware, the effort we put in now will influence not just one election, but the tone of politics for the next several years.
