Catch a Rising Star 2026

Delaware County was one of only three Ohio counties in which Democrats captured a greater vote share in 2024 than in 2020. We have a lot of work to do in 2026. You can support our efforts by attending this event, donating, or both!

Tickets are now on sale for the DCDP’s 9th annual CATCH A RISING STAR (CARS). Come join us for this festive occasion, where you’ll have a chance to meet local and statewide candidates.

Speakers

Our speakers will be David Pepper, candidate for Ohio Lieutenant Governor, and Meredith Lawson Rowe, incumbent Ohio House Representative of District 5.

We will also feature our own local candidates:

  • Jerrad Christian for US House District 12
  • Scott Charland for Ohio Senate District 19
  • Shelby Kimball for Ohio House District 60
  • Vince McGrail for Ohio House District 62

Tickets

Tickets are $100 each ($25 for Young Dems). Please purchase your ticket by August 13 so we can put in our catering order. Sweet and savory hors d’œuvres and a cash bar with beer and wine will be provided. Dress will be business casual.
