Reasons to Celebrate: Election 2025 Roundup

We saw great election news roll in from New Jersey, Virginia, and across the country, but there was plenty to celebrate right here in Delaware County, too. While Ohio didn’t have a statewide race or issue on the ballot this year (making final statewide turnout numbers hard to gauge), Delaware County still shined. Early indications show we had the highest voter turnout in the state at 35%!

A huge thank-you goes out to every voter who showed up, every poll worker who kept things running smoothly, and all the incredible volunteers who worked tirelessly to get out the vote. Your dedication made a real difference.

How Delaware County Democratic Party Endorsed Candidates Performed

First, a shout-out to Tyler Frederick, who ran for Delaware County Municipal Clerk of Court. Although he fell short against incumbent Cindy Dinovo, he surpassed his ambitious target of 20,000 votes and improved the Democratic vote share by three points over the 2019 benchmark. That’s meaningful progress and momentum.
