On February 26, every one of the 10 Ohio Congressional Republicans voted for a budget framework that cuts Medicaid but grants tax breaks to billionaires. That includes Jim Jordan (District 4) and Troy Balderson (District 12). At the same time, Republicans in the Ohio legislature are considering repealing Medicaid expansion, which could kick up to 770,000 Ohio families off Medicaid.

Trump and the Republicans enjoy strong support from rural areas, but Medicaid is essential to rural health care. It is a challenge to understand how these things fit together.
