Taylor is Nelsonville’s City Auditor. When he took office, the city was in the red, teetering on the edge of financial disaster. Deficits were killing jobs and stopping the city from growing.

On his first day in office, he found that financial records and emails had been illegally wiped. That began his investigation into what would become, just eight weeks later, the City’s largest theft and fraud bust ever. Today, Nelsonville is in the black with a $1 million surplus and the community is growing stronger every day.

Taylor promises to bring that same can-do spirit and leadership to the Ohio State Auditor’s office: “I promise to balance the books, and when necessary, catch the crooks.”
