Candidate Support

Led by chair Joyce Bourgault, the Candidate Support Committee meets every month to plan how best to work with candidates. In 2024, there will be elections for county offices, General Assembly seats, statewide offices, and federal offices. Petitions to run for office or DCDP Central Committee in 2024 are due to the Board of Elections no later than December 20, 2023. For more info, contact the committee.

RAPID: Regions and Precincts in Development

Our regions reached out to many voters this campaign season, and also supported our candidates directly by distributing literature, yard signs, and hosting fundraisers. Parker Scholarship

Since the 1980s, the Democratic Party in Delaware County have administered a scholarship program in memory of Robert E. Parker, one-time owner of a men’s clothing store in downtown Delaware. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of academic standing, extracurricular activities, community service, political activity, career goals and involvement in activities supporting diversity, the economically disadvantaged, LGBTQ issues, and racial reconciliation. Communications

The Communications committee manages this website, our Twitter account (@ohiodeladems), and the party’s email boxes. We contribute to the party’s public Facebook page, Democrats-only Facebook group, Executive Committee Facebook group, Instagram page, and mass emails.
