Approaching a Deadline, Republicans Decide to Tweak Previously Rejected GA Maps

Although the Ohio Redistricting Commission hired a pair of independent mapmakers in a fourth attempt to draw General Assembly maps acceptable to the state Supreme Court, Republicans on the commission responded to delays in completing those maps with a proposal to revert to tweaking the third set of maps, which have already been rejected by the Court as unconstitutional. The commission faces a deadline of 11:59pm Monday, March 28, to approve new maps.
