Candidate Training

We texted 45 individuals that expressed interest through the Ohio Democratic Party in running for office this year and had an introductory interview with 14 potential candidates on March 7. We are following up with everyone who expressed interest in running to give them more information.

Anyone interested should contact Joyce Bourgault by phone or email. There are still trainings available. April 1 is an ODP training and April 4 is the Board of Elections training.

Anyone interested in running for public office is welcome to participate on Tuesday, April 4, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Willis Building, 2079 US Highway 23N, Delaware). In order to ensure that candidates are successful in their efforts to appear on the ballot, the BOE offers this free and highly regarded workshop that covers such topics as campaign finance, petitioning, getting the most out of the the BOE website (https://vote.delawarecountyohio.gov/), advice for success, and more.
