Energized and Ready to Win: Ohio Democrats Launch "OhioWins" Campaign
The momentum is building, the stakes have never been higher, and the path to victory runs straight through all 88 counties in our great state of Ohio, including right here in Delaware County.
On May 12, the Ohio Democratic Party officially launched OhioWins, a historic, state-wide coordinated campaign designed to mobilize voters, protect our democracy, and elect Democrats up and down the ballot who will fight for working families.
What is OhioWins?
OhioWins is an aggressive, all-hands-on-deck effort to support our Democratic leaders in crucial, competitive elections this November. From the top of the ticket to local grassroots races, this campaign is focused on a unified, commonsense platform:
- Lowering costs for Ohio families.
- Protecting our fundamental freedoms.
- Growing our communities so that every Ohioan has the opportunity to thrive.
With all eyes on Ohio this election cycle, OhioWins is hitting the ground running to combat the out-of-touch, expensive, and restrictive status quo being pushed by Republicans in Ohio and Washington.

Built to Win: A Look at the Infrastructure
This isn’t just a catchy slogan. OhioWins is backed by a powerhouse infrastructure that is already making waves across the state:
- Staff on the Ground: The campaign has launched with a foundation of more than 20 staffers already working, with a majority having deep Ohio roots. They are actively hiring to expand operations into every single county.
- Targeted Organizing: OhioWins features dedicated organizers focusing on key constituencies, including urban hubs, rural communities, and Ohio’s college campuses. Plus, there is a specialized focus on defending our frontline congressional incumbents.
- Unprecedented Voter Protection: To ensure every eligible voice is heard, the coordinated campaign is investing heavily in ballot access. They’ve already brought on a Voter Access Director and dedicated staff to protect our right to vote.
- State-of-the-Art Data: Utilizing advanced data and analytics, the OhioWins team will micro-target voter contact efforts, ensuring we reach the exact voters needed to carry us to victory.
From the Leadership
Ohio Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Clyde shared her excitement about the launch, stating:
“Ohioans know that Republicans in Columbus and in Washington are only making life more difficult and more expensive for Ohio families, and we’re already seeing incredible energy around our Democratic candidates, from Sherrod Brown and Dr. Amy Acton to our Democratic Congress members and leaders down the ballot. There is a place for Ohioans of all political backgrounds in our coordinated campaign.”
Coordinated Campaign Director Katey Fairchild echoed that sentiment, emphasizing our strength when we stand together:
“When Democrats mobilize everywhere, we can win anywhere – a message that Ohioans of all political stripes are going to send loud and clear in November.”

As one of the fastest-growing and most crucial swing counties in the state, Delaware County is central to the OhioWins strategy. When we knock on doors, make phone calls, and talk to our neighbors about leaders like Sherrod Brown, Dr. Amy Acton, and our local Democratic candidates, we are fueling the OhioWins engine.
