Jill Love – running for Mayor of Galena
I was born in Delaware, Ohio where I lived until my high school years. I attended St. Mary’s School then went to Bishop Watterson and finished my BA in Communication Arts at the University of Cincinnati. I am married to Brian Stentz and have 3 wonderful adult children. My daughter just graduated from Ohio State and is attending The Ohio State School of Medicine, and a son who will graduate this year from The Ohio State University with a degree in Education and my stepson who is attending Columbus State while working in healthcare, and a son in law who is a police officer. I could not be more proud of each of them and they are my heart.
I have always had a strong sense of advocacy. I was fortunate to be appointed by Ronald Regan in the 1980s to represent the youth of America on the committee for a Drug-Free America. I spoke at the United Nations in Sweden and Vienna, Austria about how the youth of America was making positive strides to stay drug-free. I had the esteemed honor of spending time with Nancy Regan as she was instrumental in these efforts.
I have spent the last 30 years in the Medical Industry selling Breastfeeding Products and Ostomy Products to large hospital systems. I am currently the Vice President of Sales for a NICU Feeding Software Company. This experience has allowed me to work in small and large company environments along with a start-up where it is all hands on deck. I have a lifetime passion and inclusive work ethic.
I feel community service is at the core of who we are as citizens. After being incredibly touched by being a rider in Pelotonia, I started a community-based ride group so others who wanted to be part of the ride could do it without affiliation with a company. We raised $12,000. I have also been involved in the Women’s Care Center as a committee member to raise proceeds to support Women’s Care Centers of Columbus.
